We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Alabama Oncology in Princeton. As a key member of our oncology clinic, you will provide high-quality patient care, administer chemotherapy and medications, and work closely with physicians to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Administer chemotherapy, hydration, and other medications under the direction of a physician
- Assist physicians with exams and procedures, maintaining efficient patient flow
- Record patient data, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes
- Maintain disinfection protocols and monitor patient conditions, initiating appropriate actions as needed
- Facilitate dose modification, assessing patients for changes in condition and consulting with physicians
- Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central lines catheter devices
- Administer medications and blood products using correct technique and documentation
- Communicate with physicians and medical assistants, ensuring accurate and complete nursing charges
- Graduate from an accredited professional nursing education program, BSN preferred
- Minimum of one year nursing experience, preferably in an oncology environment
- RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing
- Chemo experience highly preferred
