Employment Type: Contract-hire

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) schedule at the site, ensuring adherence to timelines.
  • Develop and update PHA documentation for both new and existing processes.
  • Ensure all necessary information is prepared prior to conducting the PHA, including batch records, drawings, and safety data.
  • Facilitate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) sessions for new and existing processes utilizing methodologies such as HAZOP or PSRA.
  • Monitor and manage PHA action plans to ensure timely execution.
  • Assist in creating, supervising, and auditing Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR).
  • Contribute to the development of the site’s process safety program as needed.
  • Provide training and mentorship to site personnel in the field of process safety and risk assessment.
  • Engage in the implementation of new products and processes to ensure manufacturability, including technology transfer.
  • Lead investigations into Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for relevant incidents and near misses.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety and maintain a clean and safe working environment for all employees and visitors.
  • Exhibit self-motivation, the ability to work independently, and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the API pharmaceuticals or chemical processing industry.
  • Experience in participating in or leading PHAs.
