C&L Autobody is a prominent truck service center catering to fleet operations and individual clients. Our organization boasts significant expertise in heavy-duty towing, light and medium towing, roadside assistance, and emergency recovery services.
In response to growing demand, we are looking to recruit a knowledgeable and results-driven professional with a consistent employment background for the position of Road Service Mechanic.
Compensation:$30 - $35 per hour
Key Responsibilities:The role includes:
- Conducting routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on refrigerated, chassis, and intermodal equipment.
- Executing PM/FHWA inspections.
- Performing the majority of repair tasks and maintenance at customer locations or during off-site breakdowns.
- Adhering to documentation procedures, including recording accurate mileage/hours, tagging all warranty and core parts, and detailing all repairs.
- Keeping the work area and tools organized and clean.
Essential skills and experience include:
- Understanding of brake systems and suspension components.
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of refrigeration units and associated parts.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems on machinery.
- Expertise in welding and cutting techniques.
- Experience with DOT inspections.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic is preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Capacity to excel in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Possession of a Class A or B CDL is advantageous.
- Clean driving record.
C&L Autobody operates as a regional Multiple-Shop Organization (MSO) with 10 body shops across various counties in Northern NJ. We also oversee one of the largest towing fleets in the state. As a leading family-owned MSO in NJ, we are committed to providing exceptional customer service and quality craftsmanship for all collision repair needs.
