Financial Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Verduyn Tarps. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to contribute to the growth and success of our company.

• Verduyn Tarps manufactures and installs Retractable Tarp Systems for the flatbed trucking industry.
• We operate a repair/service shop and a retail store for cargo equipment, tarps and other truck & trailer accessories.
• We are a family owned and operated business with over 35 years of experience in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports.
• Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets.
• Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements.
• Create new processes to improve financial efficiency.
• Report analysis and findings to management team.
• Ensure files are complete and maintained as needed.
• Perform accounting and clerical functions to support supervisors.
• Research, track, and resolve accounting problems.
• Compile and sort invoices and checks.
• Issue checks for accounts payable.
• Record business transactions and key daily worksheets to the general ledger system.
• Record charges and refunds.
• Compile Monthly/Yearly P&L reports.
• Input type vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records.
• Provide front desk customer service.
• File and tally deposits.
• Match invoices to work orders.
• Process bills for payment.
• Arrange bank deposits.
• Utilize Sage 50 / ERP Accounting Systems.
• Contact customers with delinquent accounts.
• Reconcile monthly bank/credit card accounts.

Salary and Benefits:

• The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• ERP Accounting System experience is a plus.
• Previous experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools.
• Detail and deadline-oriented.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
