Position Overview:
Job Title: Production Technician
Location: Williamsport, PA
In this role, you will work under general supervision to execute a variety of tasks involved in the assembly of electro-mechanical components for our products. This position requires a high level of hand-eye coordination to perform precise assembly operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Skillfully align components in relation to one another using various hand tools and visual assessment. Assemble multiple interconnected sub-assemblies according to technical drawings and instructions, ensuring intricate fittings and adjustments to meet close tolerances.
- Utilize specialized instruments such as oscilloscopes, sweepers, and microscopes to accurately measure assembly specifications, both electrical and mechanical.
- Conduct visual inspections of components, with the assistance of a microscope when necessary, to ensure proper assembly, weld integrity, concentricity, and the absence of foreign objects. Make necessary corrections as directed.
- Interpret and work from detailed assembly drawings, including prints and assembly instructions.
- Perform general spot welding techniques, including resistance, TIG, and laser welding.
- Adhere to supervisors' instructions regarding the securing of parts and the training of fellow assemblers.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting bills of materials, detailed prints, and assembly instructions.
- Capable of utilizing measuring equipment effectively.
