Job Overview:

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $40,000-$50,000 per year, depending on experience. Women In Need, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive services to homeless women and their children. Our mission is to empower women and their families to achieve stability and self-sufficiency through housing, education, and job training programs. Responsibilities:

* Plan and implement social activities with clients and their children
* Develop and cultivate relationships with community organizations and other city programs that provide free and/or low-cost recreational activities to homeless families
* Work with the Recreation Coordinator to organize special events for holiday celebrations reflecting the racial, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of our families
* Provide escort and supervise the children/youth during field trips and outside activities
* Responsible for monitoring all recreation equipment in need of repair
* Ensure that children do not use broken equipment
* Participate in case conferences, agency wide and staff meetings, as required by program
* Complete necessary documentation to support and track activities of clients
* Prepare reports required by funders and Win in an accurate and timely manner

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing educational/recreational activities for homeless or at-risk children
* CPR/First Aide Certification eligible
* Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to interact in a supportive and nurturing manner with children and parents
* Bilingual, English/Spanish a plus
* Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
