Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients referred to occupational therapy, incorporating data from medical records and evaluating patients' daily living skills, cognition, social skills, and community mobility.
  • Treatment Implementation: Develop and implement individualized plans of care, directed toward short- and long-term goals, to promote optimum independence in self-care, functional mobility, and daily life tasks.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, participate in interdisciplinary conferences, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Adaptive Methods and Equipment: Provide adaptive methods and equipment to enhance patient performance and promote independence.
  • Education and Training: Design and implement individualized home programs, educate patients, family members, and ancillary personnel on specific procedures, equipment utilization, and home programs.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule patients for treatments, coordinate patient schedules with other services, and manage non-direct care tasks.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Current Licensed COTA or licensure eligible in the State of Oklahoma.
  • Certifications and Experience: Current CPR certification and some experience in the field of inpatient therapy preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and families, protect confidentiality, and maintain accurate records.
