Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with parents and educational teams to identify students needing communication evaluations.
  • Evaluate students' communication abilities utilizing standardized assessments, interviews with parents and teachers, and comprehensive reviews of records and observations.
  • Design and execute individualized education programs (IEPs) for eligible students, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and local policies.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of progress for students with communication challenges.
  • Work alongside educators and school personnel to create and implement intervention strategies that enhance students' speaking, reading, and writing skills, tailored to meet the requirements of general educational activities.
  • Prepare and deliver progress reports to parents through meetings and phone communications.
Qualifications
  • ASHA CCCs and a valid state SLP license.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in educational environments as an SLP.
  • Familiarity with digital communication tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, Zoom) is highly advantageous.
