Job Summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing Physical Therapy services for patients according to the standards of practice of the profession, laws governing practice by the State of Ohio, and facility and department policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients using appropriate non-standardized and standardized tests
  • Develop individualized treatment programs consistent with patient's age, diagnosis, functional status, and personal goals
  • Select and administer appropriate techniques, modalities, and interventions to maximize outcomes
  • Monitor patient's response to treatment and modify the plan as needed
  • Effectively communicate with patients, families/caregivers, and treatment teams both orally and in writing
  • Collaborate with patients, families/caregivers, and treatment teams in planning for discharge
  • Provide patient and family/caregiver education and training
  • Maintain competency by participation in continuing education, in-services, and other learning opportunities
Requirements
  • Graduate of accredited program in Physical Therapy with minimum of Bachelor's degree
  • Holds a current Physical Therapy license from the State of Ohio in good standing
  • Maintains CPR Certification
  • Preferred: Graduate of accredited program in Physical Therapy with Doctorate level degree
