Job Title: Site Safety Officer

Curtin Maritime Corp is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Safety Officer to join our team. As a key member of our marine construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and the general public.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement site-specific safety plans to ensure compliance with all applicable safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Provide training and education to employees and contractors on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of the project.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in heavy or marine construction, preferably in dredging, beach nourishment, or site reclamations.
  • Current U.S. Army EM 385-1-1 training and thorough knowledge of the 385-1-1 Safety and Health Requirements Manual.
  • OSHA-30 Hour Construction certification.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
