Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Select Medical's Critical Illness Recovery Hospitals. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to critically ill or post-ICU patients who require extended hospital care.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient needs and develop effective treatment plans to promote optimal respiratory health.
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with complex medical and surgical conditions, including the insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement and participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest respiratory care techniques.
  • Teach and counsel patients and their families on respiratory health and disease management.
Requirements
  • Active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
  • Current state licensure is required.
  • Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year of related experience.
