Position Overview

The Audio & Media Technologies (AMT) division is a pivotal part of Apple's innovative product lineup, including the AirPods, HomePod, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple TV. Our team is dedicated to enhancing audio experiences across various platforms, focusing on high-profile features such as VR & Gaming Audio, Siri, FaceTime, and media capture. We are in search of a skilled audio engineer who is enthusiastic about developing audio functionalities and products that will impact millions of users.

Role Responsibilities

In this exciting position, you will be tasked with creating technologies that facilitate the development and streaming of cutting-edge audio and video content. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Designing and improving software tools ranging from DAW plugins to Audio Authoring and Monitoring Units for live workflows.
  • Integrating and developing innovative DSP tools for the creation, manipulation, and acquisition of 3D/Spatial Audio alongside video content.
  • Working across various Apple platforms and embedded systems to support live content creation.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • 7+ years of experience in software development related to DAW plugins and/or Live Audio Broadcast systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of ProAudio hardware and software tools.
  • Deep understanding of Spatial/3D Audio technologies.
  • Familiarity with Audio Digital Signal Processing.
  • Experience in creating DAW plugins (VST, AAX, AU).
  • A Master's degree or higher in Music Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with AR/VR technologies is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

At Apple, the base salary is just one part of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specified range. The base salary for this role falls between $175,800 and $312,200, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
