About This Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Lead to join our team As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for helping design, build, test, deploy, and operate highly scalable solutions for our canonical asset management system. You should be a rock-solid coder with expertise in designing broad distributed system interactions, containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and observability tools and practices.

Salary and Benefits

Our competitive salary package includes an estimated range of $79,000 to $178,100 per annum, depending on your location and qualifications. You may also be eligible for a bonus and equity. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, and AD&D.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality, scalable solutions for our asset management system
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the organization
  • Work independently and as part of a global team in an Agile environment
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering, with at least half in an Agile/DevOps environment
  • Expertise in Java and Python development, REST API development, and Linux/Unix fundamentals
  • Solid understanding of microservices, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Experience with build automation tools like Jenkins, Maven, Grunt, RunDeck, Ansible, etc.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
  • Experience with React JavaScript framework (a plus)
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure and operations (a plus)
