Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Distributed Systems Architect to join our team at the Resource Informatics Group.

About the Role

In this key position, you will design, develop, and operate large-scale distributed systems to solve complex problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Develop Distributed Systems: Create Golang-based microservices and libraries that are scalable, secure, and efficient.
  • Code Review and Collaboration: Perform code reviews to ensure high-quality code and contribute to our coding standards and practices.
  • Cryptography and Security: Implement cryptographic algorithms for signing and encrypting data, ensuring the security of our systems.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Work with different teams to perform end-to-end testing and ensure the quality of our systems.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain internal documentation processes, guiding colleagues on best practices and architecture.

Requirements

  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, including giving and receiving constructive feedback in a collaborative setting.
  • Programming Experience: Have a minimum of 4 years of programming experience in languages such as C, C++, C#, Rust, Python, or Golang.
  • API Design and Security: Demonstrate a good understanding of API design and security practices, including authorization and authentication.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Have experience working with AWS infrastructure and services, including deploying applications and securing sensitive data in the cloud.
  • Container Technologies: Be familiar with container technologies and have experience working with them.
  • Distributed System Architecture: Demonstrate a strong ability to architect, build, and operate distributed systems to solve complex problems.
  • Secure Coding Practices: Follow secure coding practices and have a good understanding of security concepts like TLS, PKI, SAML/OAuth, key management, and hashing algorithms.
  • CI/CD Tools: Have experience with CI/CD tools, Artifactory, and SonarQube.
