City of Austin Transportation Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Coordinator to join our team at the Housing Authority of the City of Austin. In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination and management of our transportation services, including scheduling, routing, and dispatching of our vehicles. You will also be responsible for performing daily vehicle inspections, reporting repair requirements, and assisting with minor building repairs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transportation operations, including experience with routing software and mapping tools. You will also be required to follow instructions, read maps, and perform physically demanding tasks. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of experience in transportation or logistics. Fluency in both Spanish and English is highly desirable, and you must be eligible for coverage under our fleet auto insurance policy. A valid Texas driver's license and commercial driver's license are also required.
As a Transportation Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services. You will be responsible for coordinating the movement of people and goods, including scheduling and dispatching of our vehicles. You will also be expected to perform daily vehicle inspections, report repair requirements, and assist with minor building repairs.
