About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Grants Writer to join our team at GPAC, a leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States. As a Grants Writer, you will play a critical role in securing funding for our organization and driving our mission forward.
Key Responsibilities- Grant Writing and Proposal Development: Write compelling grants and proposals to secure funding from federal, state, and private funding agencies.
- Program Development and Management: Manage grant and program development, including strategizing, tracking, resource identification, data collection, research, process review, and improvement initiatives.
- Prospecting and Fundraising: Prospect for new funding sources and develop proposals to secure funds for the organization.
- Team Leadership: Manage a development team of 2-3 staff members and provide guidance and support to ensure successful grant writing and fundraising efforts.
- Strategic Planning: Develop strategic plans for an annual grants strategy and secure funds for the organization.
- Representation and Collaboration: Represent the organization at local, regional, and national forums, workshops, meetings, and events, and work closely with Executive Leadership to develop and implement creative strategies.
- Experience and Education: Must have a strong background in grant writing and 3-5 years of experience in a lead development role. A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree is a plus.
- Computer Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office and Foothold.
- Travel and Communication: Valid, clean driver's license and ability to travel occasionally within the region.
