Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care provided to a group of patients.
- Lead the nursing team members in the care as directed by the attending physician and in collaboration with other health care providers.
- Actively participate in the creation of an environment that fosters patient, family, physician, and employee satisfaction.
- Ensure decisions made are based on patient and family-centered care philosophy utilizing evidenced-based practices, and focused on safety, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes.
The Cardiac Intermediate Unit is a 24-bed unit located in the new Generations Tower. The unit has a 4:1 patient-to-RN ratio, providing a high level of care to patients with complex heart conditions. The unit also takes intermediate overflow patients as needed.
Requirements- Graduate of an accredited nursing school. BSN preferred.
- Current State license as a Registered Nurse.
- 1 year of experience as an RN.
- Current CPR/BLA Certification.
- Specialty certifications as required for the department.
- RNs for this unit will be required to obtain ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Certification if not already obtained.
