Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team at Stratwolf Talent. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for qualifying suppliers and sourcing materials to ensure the smooth operation of our business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Qualification and Sourcing: Identify new suppliers and develop current strategic suppliers to support our growing business within assigned commodities.
  • Market Analysis and Forecasting: Use market, forecasting, and consumption data to develop commodity-specific strategies and report on them semi-annually.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate new contracts within assigned commodities in the company's best interest.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Manage Supplier Quality issue resolution within assigned commodities.
  • Performance Evaluation: Evaluate supplier performance for assigned commodities.
  • Process Improvement: Assist in developing and updating purchasing procedures and work instructions as needed.
  • Supply Chain Development: Establish new supply bases for expansion and localization efforts.
Requirements
  • Education: An associate's degree in procurement or related fields or equivalent working experience is required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of purchasing experience is required, and it is preferred in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with an ERP system (BaaN, SAP) required.
  • Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills, effectively utilizes Microsoft products like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and reads and understands blueprints.
  • Travel: Travel 25% - 50%.
