Job Overview:

As a surgical Team Leader at Deaconess, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the healing mission of our organization.

In this leadership position, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality of nursing care on a specific unit, coordinating orientation for new staff members, and providing continuing education opportunities.

You will also work closely with the Manager to plan and manage resources necessary for delivering patient care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.


Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care as a Registered Nurse, with a focus on meeting the unique needs of each patient
  • Assume accountability for the quality of nursing care delivered on a specific unit, ensuring compliance with organizational standards
  • Coordinate orientation and training for new staff members, ensuring seamless integration into the team
  • Develop and implement continuing education programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills
  • Collaborate with the Manager to plan and manage resources, optimizing patient care delivery

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the applicable state
  • A minimum of two years of nursing experience, with at least one year in a specialty area
  • A BSN degree or an education plan in place to complete within five years of entering the Team Leader position
