Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will be responsible for performing quality echocardiograms, assisting with EKGs, applying Holter monitors, and preparing patients for Exercise Stress Tests, Pharmacologic Stress Testing, Peripheral vascular tests, and other diagnostic procedures as needed.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and work effectively with physicians to communicate patient conditions. They will also operate equipment safely and correctly, assist coworkers in maintaining PAR levels, and participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality echocardiograms and other diagnostic tests
  • Assist with EKGs, Holter monitors, and Exercise Stress Tests
  • Prepare patients for Pharmacologic Stress Testing and Peripheral vascular tests
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and hospital staff
  • Maintain PAR levels and assist with inventory management
  • Participate in performance improvement and quality control activities

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in cardiac sonography or a related field
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification within 6 months of employment
  • BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of cardiovascular technology
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
