Paralegal Specialist

Job Summary
Ormat is seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to support the General Counsel and Legal Department in various corporate and securities matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transactional law, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage securities filings, including periodic reports and registration statements.
- Develop and maintain familiarity with Transactions, Litigation, Regulatory Matters, Corporate, and Securities matters to support the General Counsel, Legal Department, and Ormat business team members.
- Prepare and review corporate documents, including bylaws, minutes, resolutions, and contracts.
- Compile and distribute closing documents, and review/make recommendations on correspondence and agreements pertaining to transactions and regulatory issues.
- Prepare, review, and file transactional, litigation, and regulatory documents, and conduct research efforts including collection, assembly, and tabulation of data.
- Provide support to the General Counsel and other legal team members in all areas as needed, and participate in quarterly interaction with the Board of Directors.
- Develop and maintain business relationships with business partners and outside counsel/vendors, and effectively interact with all levels of employees.
Requirements
- Paralegal Certificate required, with 7+ years' experience in a large law firm or energy industry.
- Strong computer and Internet research skills, with advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze, gather, and summarize data for reports, and find solutions to various problems.
- Ability to establish priorities, have attention to details, and meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements
- The ability to work at a computer, and computer monitor, and use repetitive motion for long periods of time.
- The ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- This position requires sitting 80% of the time and standing and walking 20% of the time.
