Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient visits, including registration, check-in, and check-out processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Verify insurance coverage and secure authorization for services as needed.
- Utilize multiple system applications to complete scheduling, order management, and pre-registration processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely registration and insurance verification, collecting complete and accurate financial and consent data.
- Provide information to patients regarding hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review and analyze report entries to ensure accurate scheduling and registration.
- Schedule research patients on research protocols and ensure timely coordination of care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in insurance/billing, medical practice education, or seminars preferred.
- Two years of experience in a medical or physician office or comparable healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in operating a standard desktop and Windows-based computer system, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
