Job Summary:

This is a challenging role that requires a skilled and experienced maintenance technician to perform advanced mechanical maintenance services to support the plant facility. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to prevent repairs and will be able to install, replace, and troubleshoot complex mechanical equipment and distribution systems with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on complex mechanical equipment and distribution systems.
  • Fabricate and assemble equipment, including welding, cutting, and pipe fitting.
  • Perform emergency repairs on process equipment.
  • Inspect facility equipment on a daily basis and perform various production startup and coverage tasks.
  • Troubleshoot repairs on PLC, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic components.
  • Use prints, specifications, and verbal instructions to make repairs to ordinary plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Install and thread pipe, perform soldering and cutting.
  • Assist in the installation of equipment.
  • Clean and lubricate parts, equipment, and machinery.
  • Follow all SQF principles pertinent to your position as specified by the SQF Practitioner.
  • Participate in and adhere to all HazMat, Confined Space, and LOTO trainings.
  • Report all food safety and human safety concerns to appropriate personnel.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • A minimum of three or more years of industrial equipment experience required.

Work Environment:

This position will be exposed to work in high, precarious places, and outdoor weather conditions. The typical noise level is loud, and the position has the potential for exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
