Overview

Novant Health is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and safely operating MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Operate MRI equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient procedures, images, and results, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advances in MRI technology and best practices.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field, preferred.
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.
  • Minimum one year of experience in MRI, preferred.
  • Certification and registration by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) within six months of hire, required.
  • Additional skills required: thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, analytical ability, and basic computer skills.
