The technical support division is committed to fostering a positive customer journey by aiding in customer loyalty through technical assistance, product recommendations, and warranty services. This role will play a crucial part in the call center, ensuring that all customer commitments are fulfilled promptly. The individual will be tasked with providing technical support for our consumer product offerings.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Enhance customer satisfaction through the technical support call center.
- Address inquiries regarding product features, advantages, installation, proper sizing, and compatibility with other products.
- Maintain accurate call center documentation and processing.
- Resolve customer inquiries, offer remote troubleshooting, and respond to emails and voicemails.
- Contribute to the development of FAQs and troubleshooting resources.
- Review training materials related to products.
- Organize and document established processes and procedures.
- Assist in evaluating manuals, technical bulletins, and marketing materials to ensure customer satisfaction and precision.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot using schematics, wiring diagrams, and various tools.
- Ensure timely entry and electronic documentation of consumer and case information into Navico Group systems.
- Support customers through product replacement or repair initiatives.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronics, marine installations, or RV electrical setups preferred.
- ABYC and/or NMEA certification is advantageous.
- Previous experience in consumer technical support is highly recommended.
- FCC training/experience is beneficial.
- Familiarity with receiving, warehousing, and inventory management is a plus.
- Practical knowledge of AC and DC marine and RV electrical systems (wiring, terminations, basic circuit analysis, use of DVM).
- Proficient in computer applications (including Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and ability to learn internal systems).
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is desirable.
Skill Requirements:
- Demonstrated advanced troubleshooting abilities and capacity to navigate conflicts using effective problem-solving techniques.
- Strong analytical skills; interpersonal relations; verbal and written communication; organizational skills.
- Proven capability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, schematics, and operation manuals in English.
