Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Highmark Health. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, adhering to strict aseptic techniques.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts to ensure patient safety.
Requirements
  • One year certificate from a college or technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years' specialty experience.
  • Nationally recognized surgical technologist certification required within 6 months of completion of Surgical Technologist program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPR – American Heart Association certification.
