We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatrician to join our Emergency Department team at Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. As a Pediatrician in this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills, coordinating discharge planning with case management, and participating in academic programs such as medical education and research.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
- Coordinate discharge planning with case management.
- Participate in academic programs such as medical education and research.
- Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
- Accept patient referrals from other physicians and act as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
