System Vice President, Quality and Patient Experience

The System Vice President, Quality and Patient Experience plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of quality and patient safety across NorthShore University HealthSystem. This executive is directly responsible for driving quality initiatives, clinical risk management, patient safety, infection prevention, and patient experience across the continuum. The role ensures that all entities within the system meet clinical regulatory and accreditation standards, with primary responsibility for clinical performance and improvement. This executive works collaboratively with Acute Care Chief Medical Officers and reports to the System Chief Clinical Officer. The System Vice President forms strong partnerships with the System Vice President for the Cross Care Continuum, System Chief Nurse Executive, Hospital Presidents, and leadership of the Clinically Integrated Network and other operational leadership in pharmacy and lab to advance organizational consistency and reliability across clinical performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement quality initiatives to drive improvement in patient safety and experience
- Lead clinical risk management and infection prevention efforts
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve quality and safety goals
- Ensure compliance with clinical regulatory and accreditation standards
- Partner with leadership to advance organizational consistency and reliability
Requirements:
- Master's degree in healthcare management, quality, or a related field
- Nursing or clinical degree
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership and improvement experience in a large integrated multi-entity system
- Experience using Vizient or a comparable system
