As a Medical Imaging Specialist at Fred Hutch, your primary role will involve executing radiographic examinations, ensuring optimal patient positioning and adherence to technical standards. You will also play a key role in mentoring new personnel, overseeing equipment maintenance, and organizing examination schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee electronic data management and facilitate information processing for diagnostic interpretation
  • Guide radiology trainees and newly hired staff
  • Conduct routine maintenance and safety evaluations on imaging equipment
  • Maintain adequate inventory of supplies
  • Coordinate and manage examination schedules
  • Administer necessary medications as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of a degree or program qualifying for certification eligibility
  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist in Washington State
  • ARRT certification in radiology or the ability to obtain it within a year
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Capability to work autonomously and effectively prioritize tasks

Experience in the field of radiology and familiarity with electronic medical records are advantageous.
