Medical Imaging Specialist - Per Diem

As a Medical Imaging Specialist at Fred Hutch, your primary role will involve executing radiographic examinations, ensuring optimal patient positioning and adherence to technical standards. You will also play a key role in mentoring new personnel, overseeing equipment maintenance, and organizing examination schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee electronic data management and facilitate information processing for diagnostic interpretation
- Guide radiology trainees and newly hired staff
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety evaluations on imaging equipment
- Maintain adequate inventory of supplies
- Coordinate and manage examination schedules
- Administer necessary medications as required
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of a degree or program qualifying for certification eligibility
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist in Washington State
- ARRT certification in radiology or the ability to obtain it within a year
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA
- Strong communication abilities
- Capability to work autonomously and effectively prioritize tasks
Experience in the field of radiology and familiarity with electronic medical records are advantageous.
