Veterinary Hospitalist

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Washington, PA is seeking a skilled Veterinary Hospitalist to join our team. As a Veterinary Hospitalist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating animals with illnesses and injuries, evaluating patient status, making timely treatment and diagnostic plans/orders, administering medications, interpreting diagnostic test results, communicating effectively with pet owners and primary care veterinarians, and collaborating on patient care with other veterinarians within the practice.

• Diagnose and treat animals with illnesses and injuries
• Evaluate patient status and make timely treatment and diagnostic plans/orders
• Administer medications and interpret diagnostic test results
• Communicate effectively with pet owners and primary care veterinarians
• Collaborate on patient care with other veterinarians within the practice

• DVM/VMD degree required
• Completion of a rotating internship or residency in emergency and critical care preferred but not required
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in this state
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with the ability to make rapid and accurate assessments in emergency situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
