Automotive Procurement Expert

The Used Car Buyer role at Mercedes-Benz of McKinney involves purchasing used vehicles from various sources and selling them in our inventory. This position requires strong communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to analyze market trends and make informed purchasing decisions.

• Purchasing used vehicles from multiple sources, including private sellers and other dealerships.
• Appraising used vehicles to determine their value and potential resale price.
• Providing guidance and support to sales associates as it relates to purchasing used vehicles.
• Staying up-to-date on market trends and changes in the geographic market to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Attending daily trade walks to identify new opportunities and stay connected with current customers.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a used car buyer in a dealership setting.
• Familiarity with Mercedes-Benz brand or luxury brands is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer focus skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to meet company production and quality standards.
• Outstanding computer skills to utilize our automated inventory management system.
