Job Title: Clinical Speech Pathologist - Neonatal Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Clinical Speech Pathologist to join our team at Cleveland Clinic Health System. As a Neonatal Speech Pathology Expert, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

* Perform diagnostic speech pathology test procedures and evaluate communication and swallowing function of patients.
* Interpret and report test results to facilitate medical diagnosis.
* Provide counseling and education about communication and the diagnosis to patients and their families.
* Determine therapeutic plan, including need for therapy, frequency of treatment, focus for intervention, prognosis and duration of therapy.
* Select assistive speech devices to improve patient's communication.
* Perform re-evaluation to determine progress after therapy.
* Provide observations about hearing and other behavior to help determine need for other services.
* Maintain records of all services.
* Communicate results and recommendations for improving communicative function to referral sources and outside agencies such schools and employers.
* Maintain speech pathology equipment and materials.
* Assist with planning, budget, service or project development, fee setting, purchase of new equipment or materials.

Requirements:

* Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
* Must hold or be eligible for a Speech-Language Pathology License (SP) from the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology.
* Must hold (SP) license in current state upon start date.
* Holds Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
* Completed nine month Clinical Fellowship Year.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in the NICU preferred.

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to stand for long periods of time.
* Manual dexterity and visual acuity sufficient to perform tests.

Personal Protective Equipment:

* Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
