HealthPRO Heritage is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing and directing speech therapy services to patients, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric individuals.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluation and Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine and diagnose communicative deficits and equipment needs.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment programs based on initial evaluations and containing achievable functional goals.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain timely and accurate departmental records, including progress notes and discharge summaries.
- Supervision and Education: Instruct aides in appropriate procedures and provide supervision in accordance with applicable State law.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work with nursing staff, patients, and families to maximize patients' use of functional abilities and provide education on therapeutic procedures to be continued at home.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement processes, including responding to results of medical record audits, resident satisfaction surveys, and safety activities.
- Professional Development: Maintain current knowledge of community resources and participate in continuing education opportunities to maintain clinical currency.
- Education: Master's Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Certification: Hold a current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) credential offered by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Licensure: Must maintain valid state Speech Language Pathology licensure.
