Job Summary

Montclair Hospital Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Monitor and manage patient's vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and respiratory rate.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician, and monitor patient's response to treatment.
  • Document patient's progress, including medical history, treatment plans, and outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
  • Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
  • Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
  • Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
