Job Summary

The Flight Paramedic plays a vital role in the critical care transport team, providing advanced medical care to critically ill and injured patients. This position requires a high level of expertise, independence, and teamwork to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care, incorporating assessment, stabilization, and interventional techniques consistent with approved standards and protocols.
  • Execute independent judgment to deliver appropriate care, consistent with clinical protocols, when contact with a medical command physician is not possible.
  • Function as part of a team, sharing responsibility for the team's conduct and performance.
  • Fulfill education and experiential requirements as established by the Medical Director.
Requirements
  • High School or equivalent required.
  • EMT-P training required.
  • American Heart Association ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications must be obtained before the end of orientation.
  • NRP, ITLS, or PHTLS certifications must be obtained before the end of orientation.
  • One specialty certification, such as FP-C, must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
  • 3 years of experience or 4,000 hours from a high call volume area required.
