is seeking a skilled Field Mechanic specializing in heavy machinery to perform essential maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered equipment at various job sites.

Your role will involve traveling to different locations to conduct electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs on a range of equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, graders, and trucks.

Ideal candidates will possess prior experience in diesel heavy equipment repair, enabling them to effectively identify necessary parts and tools for each task.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs alongside routine maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to diesel engines.
  • Assess and determine required parts and tools for repairs.
  • Complete necessary documentation and paperwork.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Maintain communication with the shop foreman and project superintendent.
  • Travel independently to various construction sites.
Qualifications:
  • Possession of a valid Class A or B driver's license (preferred) or a valid driver's license.
  • Diesel mechanic certification or relevant training as a mechanic is advantageous.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in diesel/heavy equipment repair is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel with the crew to different projects.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Commitment to a drug-free work environment.
  • This position is classified as safety-sensitive.
