Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook II to join our culinary team at Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino. As a Cook II, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items for our guests in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items to order, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Rotate through all cooking stations, utilizing various cooking devices and techniques.
  • Ensure all orders are accurate and presented in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
  • Operate kitchen equipment, such as stoves, grills, and fryers, to prepare food orders.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen environment or equivalent technical training.
  • Culinary school experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and operation procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push/pull carts with up to 125 pounds.
Working Environment

The physical demands of this role include standing for long periods, bending, stooping, and lifting. The ability to work in a hot kitchen environment and tolerate chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing is required.
