Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Engagement Associate to join our team at Southern Seven Health Department. As a key member of our Head Start program, you will play a vital role in providing case management activities to families enrolled in our program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough family assessments and assist families in setting goals during the Family Partnership Agreement.
  • Work closely with families to obtain necessary information, such as health records and consent forms.
  • Complete home visits as needed to ensure families are receiving the support they need.
  • Document all case management activities in our online database and maintain up-to-date children's files.
  • Assist families with advocacy, including attending IEP/IFSP meetings and parent meetings.
  • Facilitate monthly parent/grandparent meetings to encourage engagement and participation in our program.
  • Organize recruitment activities to promote our program and engage with the community.
  • Complete face-to-face intakes, including income verification, for families applying to our program.
  • Submit required documentation and reports according to our Activity Calendar.
  • Maintain knowledge of community resources and refer families as needed.

Requirements:

  • An Associate Degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
