Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary procedures, and special collections on patients in a safe and efficient manner
- Provide exceptional communication support to patients and colleagues, adhering to customer service standards
- Access hospital and lab information systems for ordering and sample processing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Process samples for testing and maintain sample integrity, adhering to regulatory requirements
- Conduct urine drug screen collections and Breath Alcohol Testing, following established protocols
- Completion of a phlebotomy course or equivalent technical training, with a focus on laboratory procedures
- Two years of recent work experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with a strong understanding of laboratory operations
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant or Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
- National registration with ASCP in Phlebotomy, preferred but not required
