Job Summary

The Anesthesia Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the operating room. As a key member of the anesthesia team, you will provide essential support to certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) and anesthesiologists. Your primary function will be to ensure that all necessary supplies and equipment are available for each case, and that all equipment is properly maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and restock anesthesia carts, omnicells, and operating rooms to maintain adequate par levels of essential items.
  • Perform regular equipment checks and maintenance to ensure all devices are in working order.
  • Assist with the placement of lines and provide support during critical times, such as airway emergencies or trauma cases.
  • Position patients for anesthetic procedures and assist with the movement of equipment as needed.
  • Follow established protocols for setting up equipment and supplies for each case.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in the anesthesia department or as a nursing assistant.
  • BLS (adult and child) certification within 90 days of employment.
