Pharmaceutical Consultant

We are seeking a skilled Pharmaceutical Consultant to join our team at Cencora. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing relationships with physicians and their practices, prescribing medications, training patients, and ensuring prescriptions flow through to our ambulatory pharmacy. Your expertise in clinical data, lab values, and patient medical records will be invaluable in this role.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad array of complex disease states and medical conditions. You will also be responsible for processing prior authorizations, managing denials, and coordinating pickup or courier delivery of prescriptions. Additionally, you will assist with program financial reporting and provide oversight and direction to associates in accordance with our organization's policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a PharmD degree and an unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice. Five+ years of community/retail/ambulatory pharmacy or health-system related experience is highly desirable. You will also be proficient in Microsoft Office and have prior experience on pharmacy dispensing systems and insurance adjudication processes.

This is a salaried position, offering a competitive compensation package including a $120,000 base salary, paid parental leave, adoption assistance, and infertility coverage.
