Job Title: LPN - East Aurora NY

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Absolut Care in East Aurora, NY.

About the Role:

The LPN will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and be responsible for promoting the health, wellness, and illness prevention of our residents through daily nursing and personal care endeavors.

Responsibilities:
  • Helps to fulfill the care requirements of our patients.
  • Works closely with others in a fast-paced, team environment under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
  • Accountable for ensuring that competent care and safety are consistently delivered to all residents.
  • Handles physician orders, administers medications, collects and maintains resident data, takes vitals, assists with resident comfort.
  • Assures proper procedures are followed at all times.
  • Communicates with residents and their families in an appropriate manner.
Requirements:
  • A current and valid license as an LPN in the state of New York is required.
  • A degree from an accredited school or nursing/nursing program is required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Education or experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable.
  • Strong customer service skills and compassion.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Basic computer knowledge, PCC e-MAR experience preferred.
  • Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
