Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement production plans that align with business objectives, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze capacity problems and adjust production plans accordingly.
  • Monitor and report on actual customer demand, trends, and forecasts to inform production planning decisions.
  • Lead daily meetings with scheduling teams to address fulfillment issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with material planners to understand lead times and schedule production accordingly.
  • Maintain a valid capacity requirement plan that supports the master production schedule.
  • Develop and implement effective phase-in and phase-out plans for new products and product changes.
  • Lead weekly and monthly Master Production Schedule meetings with scheduling teams.
  • Develop and implement planning tools to increase automation and reduce manual planning efforts.
  • Create daily, weekly, and monthly reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management.
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in production planning in manufacturing facilities.
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP systems, preferably Syspro and Translution.
  • Experience in a leadership role, with the ability to coach and mentor.
  • Exceptional computer skills, including ERP, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multiple departments and levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated influencing, negotiating, and conflict management skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of effective supply chain performance, including supply planning, customer service, supplier management, and asset management.
  • Strong passion for creating process and systems improvements.
  • CPIM or CSCP certifications from APICS are highly desirable.
