Job Summary

The Cashier/Attendant position at United Refining is responsible for operating the store and attending to customers' needs while adhering to company operating policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Offer exceptional customer service and greet all customers with a smile and hello.
  • Suggest merchandise purchases to all customers and learn to operate the cash register and additional required equipment with accuracy.
  • Price, stock, and face merchandise, including gondolas, shelving, counters, walk-in coolers, upright coolers, and backroom storage areas.
  • Manage product storage, maintenance, and rotation activities to avoid any damage or spoilage.
  • Maintain the store in accordance with maintenance policies and conform to any required Health Department rules and regulations.
  • Account for all shift and daily transactions and present a neat and clean appearance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or District Manager.
Requirements
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively as a team contributor.
  • Organizational and communication skills, with a strong work ethic and ability to work flexible hours.
  • Customer service skills and ability to lift up to fifty pounds.
  • POS/cash register experience is helpful, as well as proficiency in general office equipment and desktop computers.
Work Environment

This position works in a typical retail convenience store setting, with a fast-paced environment and physical demands including bending, twisting, standing, walking, or sitting for prolonged periods.
