You will practice autonomously and in accordance with professional nursing standards, providing care to primarily adult and geriatric populations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver High-Quality Patient Care: Effectively utilize the nursing process to ensure optimal nursing care and patient outcomes.
  • Provide Leadership and Autonomy: Provide leadership and autonomy in the professional practice setting and the profession.
  • Engage in Continuous Learning: Engage in activities to expand and/or enhance the professional nursing role, which includes integration of research and evidence-based practices.
  • Document Patient Care: Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner according to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Maintain Competency: Maintain knowledge of Hospital policies and procedures and demonstrate flexibility to meet staffing needs of the department.
Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Certification/Licensure: Illinois licensed or eligible. BLS certification required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in telemetry/critical care preferred.
Working Conditions:

Exposure Category I: Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. All procedures or other job-related tasks that involve an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashes of them, care Category I tasks. Use of appropriate protective measures is required for every employee engaged in Category I tasks.
