Cardiology Physician Assistant Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to join our cardiology practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in cardiovascular medicine and be committed to providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests under the supervision of a physician.
- Assist in the diagnosis and management of various cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and hypertension.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as echocardiograms, stress tests, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and Holter monitors.
- Develop and implement patient treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and referrals to specialists.
- Perform procedures such as cardiac stress testing, cardiac catheterization, and venous access procedures under the supervision of a physician.
- Provide patient education on cardiovascular health, including medication management, dietary modifications, and exercise recommendations.
- Assist in the coordination of patient care, including scheduling follow-up appointments, obtaining prior authorizations for medications and procedures, and communicating with other healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and laboratory results.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
- Prior experience in cardiology or a strong interest in cardiovascular medicine preferred.
- Excellent clinical skills, including proficiency in performing physical examinations and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.
