Role Summary:

This position is integral to ensuring precise tax reporting by executing essential tax accounting tasks and deliverables within the designated area of responsibility, aligning with corporate and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the preparation of premium tax returns assigned to external partners, including managing document requests and payment processes.

2. Supervise use tax filing responsibilities handled by team members.

3. Collaborate with management across departments on indirect tax matters.

4. Drive process enhancements by assessing current workflows, pinpointing weaknesses, and implementing improved procedures.

5. Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate premium tax audits and address inquiries.

6. Ensure the successful execution of tax accounting tasks by accurately calculating various tax obligations, gathering and analyzing financial data from multiple sources, and confirming timely filing of tax returns.

7. Monitor tax compliance by identifying potential risk areas and formulating strategies to mitigate these risks.

8. Advocate for continuous improvement in tax processes by developing efficiencies and integrating best practices.

9. Participate in and manage various tax-related projects by sharing expertise, providing guidance on tax issues, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

10. Support the development of team members by aiding in the onboarding of new associates, sharing knowledge, and addressing complex tax inquiries.
