We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis. As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Management: Review and assess medication orders to identify potential and actual drug-related problems, and recommend formulary alternatives when necessary.
- Dispensing and Compounding: Compound and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients, and oversee technical personnel who assist in the preparation and maintenance of medications and supplies.
- Communication and Education: Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients, and communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care.
- Leadership and Supervision: Oversee technical personnel and assist with academic functions such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students.
- Licensure and Certification: Pharmacist credentialed from the Indiana Board Of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
