ACT Advocate

At Northern Lakes Community Mental Health Authority, we are committed to providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health needs. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ACT Advocate to join our team.

The ACT Advocate will provide intensive case management services and problem-solving interventions to clients with severe mental illness. This role requires a strong commitment to creating and maintaining a culture that supports recovery and gentleness.

• Initiate and maintain ongoing assessment, treatment, and intervention planning for clients.
• Assess clients' emotional well-being, clinical symptomology, and behavioral changes.
• Provide counsel and education to clients regarding mental illness symptoms, substance use symptoms, and medication information.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and team meetings.
• Represent the program in the community and educate the public about mental health needs.
• Develop effective interagency relationships and provide direct clinical care to clients and their families.

• Credentialed by NLCMHA to provide services in this professional discipline.
• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field.
• Licensure with the State of Michigan as a Licensed Bachelors Social Worker.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and maintain effective working relationships.

• Competitive salary range: $56,450 - $64,950.
