Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Delaware Technical & Community College. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in performing minor building maintenance and repair work in various trade areas, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Assist in ordering materials and supplies for maintenance and repair projects.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, and replacing filters and belts.
  • Assist in preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Assist in snow and ice removal, grass cutting, and grounds maintenance.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of relevant experience in maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of basic tools and their application, maintenance, and repair.
  • Ability to understand and comply with written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
